TOWN ELECTION - MAY 9, 2023

In May, voters will go to the polls in Trappe to choose two people to fill the office of Town Councilperson. The open seats will be that of Commissioner Tonya Pritchett and Commissioner Michael Sullivan. Persons interested in running for these positions must be a resident of the incorporated limits of Trappe for at least one year prior to the election; a qualified voter in the Town of Trappe (at least 18 years of age and a US citizen), and file a candidate application with the Town Administrator/Clerk by the deadline.

Important Dates

• March 21, 2023 by 4:00 PM - Candidate application deadline
• May 2, 2023 - Absentee ballot request deadline
• May 9, 2023 - General Election

The General Election will take place in the Council Meeting Room at the Town Office. Polls will be open from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM.
