Old Glory

The Trappe Town Council meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm in the Trappe Town Hall meeting room. The Trappe Planning Commission meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm in the Trappe Town Hall meeting room. All Council Meetings, Workshops and Public Hearings are open to the public. Please check with the Town Hall for any other scheduled meetings.


Special Trash pick up is quarterly at the end of each month: January, April, July, & October. Please check with the Town Office for procedure and restrictions.


Cable and Internet available within incorporated town: Verizon offers DSL for internet connection and Atlantic Broadband offers Cable TV and Broadband for internet connection.

The Rural Life Museum of Trappe Md., Inc. plans to locate in the historic Defender House on Backtown Road, Trappe MD.

"Build our future by preserving our past."

The Rural Life Museum of Trappe plans to collect, preserve and display a broad array of historically significant artifacts and documents, including many items that were used in rural homes, factories and farms in the Trappe area.

The Trappe Rural Life Museum has evolved from a dream in the mind of Charles Adams into a vibrant organization ready to take on the challenge of preserving our past and growing our future. The Rural Life Museum of Trappe, Md., Inc has entered into an agreement with Mid-Shore Community Foundation to establish and professionally manage the Rural Life Museum of Trappe, Md., Inc. Fund. Gifts to the Fund are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law. Mid-Shore Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity.
