Community News & Events.........

Brickman Landscaping selected Trappe as a community partner for this year. Brickman donated all materials and labor to improve landscaping in Veteran's Park. The work included mulching around picnic tables, power washing the tables, power washing the gazebo, mulching the adjoining rose beds, and mulching and installing new plants around the park sign. Work was completed July 11 th.

Nace's Park on south Main Street (near Scott's UMC)is dedicated to recognition of the life and deeds of former Trappe resident Nathaniel Hopkins. Currently vacant, the site will be developed as a passive park. The concept plan was created by the park committee chaired by Commissioner Rose Potter with the assistance of Kevin Shearon of DMS and Associates. The Council of Trappe approved the concept plan June 4, 2014. Please direct any questions to Commissioner Rose Potter.

BID OPENING DATE: August 4, 2014


Sealed Bids will be received by the Town of Trappe, Inc. at the Trappe Town Office, 4011 Powell Avenue. Trappe, Maryland 21673, until 12:00 PM local time on Monday, August 4, 2014, for the MAIN STREET AND HARRISON CIRCLE SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS. At that time, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.

Proposals shall be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Main Street and Harrison Circle Sanitary Sewer Improvements" in the Town of Trappe, Maryland "Contract No. 0527A022 BID ENCLOSED", and be addressed to:

Prospective Bidders may obtain contract documents at the Town's web site (click here to download), or may purchase copies of the documents at the Town office at a fee of $15.00. All questions must be submitted in writing before 5PM, July 30, 2014

The Town of Trappe reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality therein. The Town also reserves the right to extend the time and place of the bid opening, from that described in this advertisement with not less than two (2) calendar days' notice to those bidders who have obtained copies of the plans and specifications.
